Traced Family Portrait
Here’s a nice sentimental one your family is sure to love. Adobe Illustrator is great for making simple but effective pieces of art just like this. Make sure to add just enough detail to each family member so everyone can say “hey, that’s me!”
Personalized Movie Poster
Everyone wants a movie all about them, so why not make it a reality! It can be any type of movie you make a poster for, maybe a horror movie, or a rom-com for that special someone. Adobe Photoshop is perfect for this, and you can add inside jokes and funny pictures all over.
Stickers
Got someone with a favorite hobby or perhaps a niche interest? Buy some sticker paper, and make them some stickers! This is great for those with hobbies that may not get much merchandise online. Think up some fun ideas or jokes, and print them off on some sticker paper for them to use as they please. I used Adobe Illustrator for this as well for that cartoony feel, but hand drawn is great too!
Animations
This one may be a little bit more time consuming, but absolutely worth it. A cute animation that you can play and send to them will surely be a 5 star present, and they can keep it on their phone for a long time to come. This is perhaps the most open ended, but personalized one so far. This can be anything, perhaps a collection of your favorite pictures of you and them, a collection of pictures from things they love, a scene you put together from multiple photos of your cat, the skies the limit on this one. Photoshop is a great tool for this.
